Westwood College Online is a part of Westwood College Denver North which is one of four Alta Colleges. Westwood College itself was founded in Denver Colorado in 1953 and was originally known as the Denver Institute of Technology. Since then, however, they have expanded Westwood College to include Business, degrees in Computer and Information Technology, Industrial Services, Criminal Justice and Health Care. The curriculum boasts of 20 online degree programs with over 4000 students enrolled. The college uses an interactive learning approach with some of the latest multi media technology to ensure that you receive the best possible education for your degree choice.
Westwood's instructors are not only experts in their particular fields but are also specifically trained in online teaching techniques. School of Business

School of Design
In addition to the expected Computer Design and Animation programs, the Westwood College Online School of Design offers a couple of unique programs that you won’t find exactly duplicated anywhere else. They are Game Art and Design and Interior Design.
The Game Art and Design is perfect for the person who is creative and also tends to be addicted to computer gaming. The curriculum includes courses in Cinematography, Color Theory, 3-D Modeling and Animation along with Management and General Education courses. The knowledge gained will provide you with opportunities for employment in the gaming industry.
The Interior Design degree will give you the skills to create beautiful interiors as a career. Interior designers plan and design the spaces we inhabit every day, from restaurant interiors to doctor’s offices, stores, banks and even our homes. You will work with faculty members who are themselves experienced interior design professionals and will learn how to apply color theory, construction technology, interior finishing and space planning that will soon have you in high demand as a person who can create stunning interior spaces.

School of Justice
The School of Justice offers a Bachelor Degree program in Criminal Justice and the Associate Degree of Applied Science in Paralegal. The Paralegal degree teaches you about the American legal system and government, focusing on aspects of immigration law, family law, business law, research and more. Either the Paralegal or Criminal Justice degree will help you toward a career in the legal system.

School of Technology
The School of Technology includes degrees in Computer Network Engineering or Network Management, Information Systems Security, Software Engineering, and Game Software Development. Unlike some gaming software development programs, at Westwood an emphasis is placed on actual development and testing. Students take at least 136 hours of courses in their core curriculum, learning how to apply logic, critical thinking and problem solving skills for managing situations that occur in game development. Furthermore, the faculty members are experts in game software development themselves and are knowledgeable regarding current gaming trends.
