Westwood is a “complete” college, meaning it offers both traditional and online courses designed to meet the needs of every student. The Online Campus is listed in the top twenty online colleges. While the college itself is based in Denver, Colorado, if you choose the online approach, you will be able to study from any location where you have access to the internet. Your degree will be a Westwood College degree; no one but you will know that you studied in the comfort of your own home rather than spending hours sitting in a hard college student desk.
Westwood's online college courses available via distance learning are categorized into five “schools” as indicated below:
Westwood instructors are specially trained in online teaching strategies and are also experts in the career field they teach in, many of them actually employed in those fields while still teaching at Westwood college. 97% of the graduating students claim to be satisfied, saying they would recommend their instructors or program to other students. Perhaps the feeling of satisfaction comes from the fact that at Westwood, your online courses are not simply text or audio, requiring you to read eye-burning hours of screens or listen to professors drone on about their topic. The courses actually use real textbooks which allow you to study away from the computer, yet use the computer as well for creative audio-video presentations.
Westwood College is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) or the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), both of which are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. They have also received Higher Learning Commission Candidacy from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

School of Technology
While the School of Technology does have a program in Game Software Development, the emphasis—in contrast to the School of Design—is on the technical side of computer technology. Thus you will find here degrees in Information Technology, Computer Forensics, Network Management, and Systems Security. These programs are more for the analytical person who is less interested in creating than in understanding how the programs work and keeping the technology operating efficiently.

School of Professional Studies
The School of Professional Studies presents another series of Business degrees, several of which appear to overlap the programs in the School of Business. The difference seems to be that the courses listed in the School of Professional Studies are available Online only. Also, the school you enroll in will determine the types of courses you take for electives. This is the only school that has overlaps, so you will need to check with an advisor or study the programs at the school website to see which route is suitable for you.
