Online students have the option of taking classes at any time of the day or night. You have access to the same high quality teachers as traditional students. Your online courses are completed in classes of no more than 15 students, ensuring that you will have plenty of opportunity to interact with your professors. In addition, online classes can be completed in an accelerated format with year around classes that allow you to start and finish each course according to your own schedule. You also have access to an information forum known as “Talk On” through which you can exchange information on a variety of topics with other students any time of the day or night.
Finally, online students are assigned a team of professionals who are specifically educated in skills related to distance learning. A History of Excellence
South University Online was started as a business college in Savannah Georgia in 1899. The college was originally located in the Masonic Lodge. Following several moves, it was moved to downtown Savannah in 1974. There it was acquired by the family of John South III, and in 1986 renamed South College. In subsequent years several additional campuses were opened, and in 2004 the college launched its first online programs. From that time new programs have added every year with the online program in Public Administration being added in 2009. As the college has added courses, they have also added enhancements to continuously improve the online experience.
Nationwide Recognition
South University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is eligible to award Associates, Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees. Nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The legal programs have American Bar Association Approval.
