Hospitals, HMOs, insurance and pharmaceutical companies,
and other health care agencies are increasingly hiring people who have
a specialized degree in this area, often the Master's Degree in Healthcare
Administration. There are already 2.8 million people working in the medical
career; however, demand for administrators trained in the field is expected

Although
many of your courses, especially in the beginning of your program, will
resemble the classic business school offerings such as finance, strategic
planning, marketing, management, organizational behavior, and economics,
the models you use will be health care systems. Some schools have this
major in their business programs; other schools use this term interchangeably
with "Health Care Management."
