Liberty University offers a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling degree program. The program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation of the knowledge and skills they need to work effectively as a professional, Christian counselor. Students receive specific training that is designed to lead to licensure and national certification. Coursework is comprised of Council for Accreditation of Counseling and other related educational programs.

 

Capella University offers a Master of Science in Human Services programs with specializations in Counseling Studies, Marital, Couple and Family Counseling/Therapy, Mental Health Counseling - CACREP Accredited, School Counseling, and more. Salaries for Counselors
School counselors and social workers make from $31,000 to $68,000, depending on the years of experience. A person with a doctoral degree can expect an additional $3,000 to $4,000 per year depending on geographic area and actual job title. The median salary for vocational counselors is $54,000.
